DESCRIPTION
The project includes a new hangar (L110 x W91 metres) with an approximate area of 11,010 square metres. The structure comprised structural steel truss enclosed with aluminium wall and roof cladding, and a 7-storey reinforced concrete annex building.

Special systems were applied in the project included hangar door, crane system, docking system, aircraft (400Hz) power supply system, hangar operational system, generator sets, extra-low voltage system, and electrical and mechanical services.

The project works included prefabricating steel trusses in factory and assembling on-site, jacking up 60% of steel trusses from lower level and temporary strengthening of trusses. The project also involved building services works conducted at a height of over 40 metres, as well as steel cladding to the steel trusses and the sidewalls of the hangar.
