Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) and Multi-Trade Integrated Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MiMEP)
In our pursuit of sustainable urban development, we have advanced a manufacturing-led approach to construction that prioritises safety, quality,
and the rapid delivery of vital housing. By incorporating Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) through the widespread use of MiC and MiMEP,
we have shifted from traditional on-site construction to an integrated factory-to-site model. This "off-site prefabrication, on-site assembly" strategy
dramatically improves engineering precision and slashes construction cycles, enabling us to meet the urgent demand for public housing.
Since the majority of processes move into a controlled environment, shifting high-risk activities such as welding and high-level installations into a
factory setting, we have fundamentally improved site safety and minimised environmental impact on local communities by reducing noise and dust, while
optimising material use and promoting low-carbon construction. Furthermore, by providing a modern, technology-focused working environment, we are
successfully attracting the next generation of talent to the industry, ensuring the long-term sustainability of our workforce and the liveability
of the communities we serve.
CASE STUDY
T-Loft@Kai Tak
Completed in early 2024, the project marked Hanison's first venture into MiC. By integrating seamlessly with advanced BIM workflows to
enhance overall execution, we delivered public housing in a record 15 months, directly addressing Hong Kong's housing shortage. This approach
optimised project management through assembly sequence simulations and controlled factory environments, allowing us to overcome traditional
construction bottlenecks and enhance overall project execution and coordination.

We leverage MiMEP to transform complex building services into high-precision, factory-prefabricated modules. By standardising designs for
kitchen and bathroom layouts alongside essential public utilities, including refuse room ventilation, pressure reducing valves, water meter
cabinets, and rising mains, we ensure consistent and top-tier engineering quality.
