Our curtain wall system was an outer covering of a building in which the outer walls were non-structural, utilized only to keep the weather out and the occupants in. Thus it could be made of lightweight materials, thereby reducing construction costs. When glass was used as the curtain wall, natural light could penetrate into the building.
